Your Day-by-Day Kerala Escape

Upon your arrival at Cochin Airport or Railway Station, our representative will assist you with the formalities. You will then begin your scenic drive to the hill station of Munnar via the NH85. The journey is as beautiful as the destination, with stops at fragrant Spice Plantations and the magnificent Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls. As you ascend, witness the landscape transform into a sea of lush green tea plantations. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. The evening is free for optional activities like visiting an adventure park or enjoying a boating session at Senkulam Dam. Overnight stay at Munnar.

After breakfast, set out for a day of exploring Munnar's iconic sights. Visit the serene Kundala Lake, the famous Echo Point, and the sprawling Mattupetty Dam, where you can often spot elephants. Stop for photos at the numerous picturesque points and visit a Tea Museum to learn about the region's tea-making history (Closed on Mondays). Conclude your day with a visit to the Eravikulam National Park, home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After a hearty breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed towards the backwater capital of Kerala, Alleppey. Upon arrival, embark on a memorable Shikara (or houseboat) cruise through the stunning Vembanad Lake. Glide through narrow canals, witness the unique rural life along the banks, and see the lush green paddy fields of Kuttanad (the "Rice Bowl of Kerala"). Later, visit the serene Alleppey Beach before checking into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Enjoy your final breakfast before transferring back to Cochin. Depending on your flight or train schedule, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Fort Cochin. Witness the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets in action, explore the Mattancherry Dutch Palace, and visit the historic Jewish Synagogue. Stroll along Marine Drive for some final views of the coastline. FAQs

What type of vehicle will be provided, and is it exclusively for our group?

Yes, a private air-conditioned cab will be provided exclusively for you and your group for all transfers and sightseeing as mentioned in the itinerary. This ensures you can travel at your own pace and comfort.

Is the driver proficient in languages other than the local language?

Yes, we provide a multilingual driver who can assist you in English and Hindi, in addition to the local language, Malayalam. They are also knowledgeable about the routes and sightseeing spots to offer professional assistance.

What happens if we arrive in Cochin late at night or want to start sightseeing very early?

Your pickup from the airport/railway station will be arranged according to your arrival time, regardless of how late it is. For daily sightseeing, the vehicle and driver are at your service from 8 am to 7 pm. If you require service outside of these hours, you can discuss it directly with the driver, and if he agrees, you are welcome to use his services.

We noticed the Tea Museum is closed on Mondays. How does our itinerary account for this?

Great observation! Our itinerary includes a note that the Tea Museum is closed on Mondays. We recommend planning your Munnar sightseeing days accordingly. If your Day 2 falls on a Monday, we can easily swap the order of sightseeing to ensure you don't miss out, for example, by visiting Eravikulam National Park first.

Does the package include an overnight houseboat stay in Alleppey?

The itinerary specifies a Shikara cruise on Day 3, which is a few hours of cruising through the backwaters, followed by a check-in at a hotel for the night. If you prefer an overnight stay on a traditional Kerala houseboat, please let us know, as we can make changes to the itinerary to accommodate that request.
