FAQs

What is the best time of year to take this tour?

The best time to enjoy this itinerary is during the winter months, from October to March, when the weather is pleasant in the hill stations and ideal for beach activities. The monsoon season (June-September) offers a lush, green landscape and is great for Ayurvedic treatments, but may hinder some outdoor sightseeing.

I see the Tea Museum and Eravikulam National Park are on the itinerary. Are they open every day?

The Tea Museum in Munnar is closed on Mondays, so we recommend planning your visit accordingly. Eravikulam National Park is typically open year-round but may remain closed for a short period (usually January-March) for the calving season of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. We advise checking current conditions with your driver.

Are the boat cruises in Thekkady and Alleppey included in the package cost?

The motor boat cruise in Thekkady and the Shikara ride in Alleppey are key parts of your experience. However, as mentioned in the "Cost Excludes" section, entrance fees and activity charges like these boat rides are generally not included in the package price and must be paid directly by you at the location.

4. Can we customize the sightseeing or stop at places not listed in the itinerary?

Yes, to an extent. The itinerary is flexible and can be discussed with your driver. Since the vehicle and driver are with you for the entire trip (from 8 am to 7 pm), you can make minor adjustments or requests. For any major changes, it's best to coordinate with the tour operator in advance.

What is the role of the driver? Is he also a guide?

Your driver is a professional, multilingual driver who will be with you throughout the trip. He is knowledgeable about the routes, local places, and sightseeing spots, and will provide excellent assistance. However, he is not a licensed government tour guide. For in-depth historical explanations at monuments like the Napier Museum, you may choose to hire a local guide separately.
